Linda Henke has joined GLXi – Global Learning Exchange – as the Director of Educational Strategies and Curriculum Development.

Linda has a long and very impressive career in the education field, including Superintendent of Maplewood-Richmond Heights School District, and Assistant Superintendent of the Clayton School District.

Dr. Henke has served as teacher, curriculum coordinator, director, principal and superintendent in both Iowa and Missouri.

Linda earned a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa and was recognized by University of Iowa for outstanding research. She also received one of six Excellence in Scholarship awards from the American Association of School Administrators.

Linda has been a huge supporter of the GLXi model for taking education to developing countries. “This model makes sense on so many levels. For students in the United States, it provides an authentic audience and opportunity to apply both their Spanish and their content knowledge in a real world context. When you teach someone, your own learning grows exponentially. What a wonderful win-win when we do!

Linda will retire from her current position at St Louis University this May…when she will have lots of time and energy to devote to developing educational strategies and charting the future of GLXi.
